TPROT

Many modern ECUs are equipped with TPROT (Tuning Protection), a security feature designed to prevent unauthorized access and modifications to the engine’s software. This protection can pose challenges for tuners who wish to modify or optimize their vehicle’s performance, as it can restrict the ability to flash new tuning files or access certain parameters.

The AutoHex TPROT Module offers a straightforward solution for this issue by allowing users to remove the TPROT protection directly within the flash file. This capability is particularly beneficial because while some tuning tools automatically remove TPROT upon reading the ECU, others may not, necessitating manual intervention to bypass these protective measures.
